'Tis the season to earn!
Earn on all your holiday shopping and gifting when you buy gift cards and shop online through Aspire Now’s RaiseRight program! The money you’re already planning to spend on things like gifts, wrapping paper, stocking stuffers, groceries, travel, and more, can help you earn money that will benefit Aspire's programs. It adds up fast! Here’s how to earn:
(Pro tip! Install RaiseRight’s browser extension to your browser so you can get earning reminders while shopping online!) https://www.raiseright.com/m/extension And you'll need to use our Enrollment code so that earnings come to us: ALAJRIIPBMQB Thank you! The gala supplies are packed away and back in storage until next year. We heard from many people that this was the best one yet! We are so grateful to have Vibrant Church as our new "home" venue for this yearly event. It is exponentially easier to plan and set up when you are more familiar with the layout of the venue! Many thanks to Pastor Mark Fay and his staff at Vibrant for all their help and grace.
Our speaker Jean Davis held back nothing; people got to hear first-hand just how abusive prostitution is to women. She strongly challenged the church body to step up in every way to stop this horror right in our own towns. Many people had no idea just how bad it can be, which proves the point that our church body overall has been asleep! Actor, producer and film director Tommy Lee Thomas also attended, all the way from the west coast. Deb and Tommy Lee had a Q and A, where Tommy Lee answered questions about how he got into Christian filmmaking and about our movie in the making. The working title is Strong Hearts, and it will truthfully show what transpires when a client walks into a pregnancy resource center such as Aspire Now. The next step is the script writing, which will cost $10k of the movie budget. We are going for a full-featured movie, done with excellence! Engaging and enlightening are the attributes we are hoping this movie will achieve. If you feel moved to bring the truth about PRCs such as ours to the greater population, please consider donating generously to this project. The total budget is huge (100k), but we serve a mighty God! Speaking of money: another way you could help sow into this ministry is by something called QCDs, or Qualified Charitable Deductions. This is a way for tax savings for you that could benefit Aspire Now. Speak to your financial consultant, tax preparer or advisor for more information! We continue to need volunteers to go out with the mobile clinic van. The Salvation Army's new local leader has been very open to allowing us to park there and minister to local women, and we want to be able to continue our presence in Saint Albans, but need volunteers for that as well. If you are, or know medical personnel that would be interested in helping as well, please do let us know. Van staff volunteers are greatly needed at this time and we really want to be out there in our communities, but are being held back by this need. We appreciate each and every one of you and hope you will join us for our annual Christmas Open House held on Wednesday, Dec. 4 here at the center in Williston. It's a drop-in gathering, from 11:30-2:00 pm. Hope to see you there! Wow, is this summer flying by or what?!? The gala is less than one month away! Our speaker this year is an amazing lady whose story began sadly and violently, but is now on a track that only God could have created. Jean Marie Davis will be speaking about being trafficked from the age of two until she was around twenty! She escaped the threats, beatings, drug abuse and prostitution and found safe haven at a pregnancy resource center in New Hampshire.
The dinner will be catered by The Rotisserie Restaurant this year. Register by phone or email to Devon at: [email protected] OR by calling 802-658-8046. If you have food sensitivities, we have some gluten free and vegetarian meals available, but require you let us know ASAP, as we have to order them separately, and they will only be available by pre-registration. The venue is once again at Vibrant Church, and the doors open at 5:30, with the program running from 6:00-9:00pm. Please join us! Sorry for the long silence; summer is flying by! We are wrapping up the Baby Bottle Campaign and putting on our banquet/gala hats. As you probably already know, this is THE major fundraiser of our year, and table hosts are the backbone of the event. We need table hosts that can invite and secure confirmed registrations for at least seven other people. Each table seats eight people comfortably, and we do have table hosts that fill a few tables - which is great!
You can have friends and family contact us directly by calling Devon at 802-658-8046, or emailing [email protected]. Please invite people you know who love babies, family and want to support life by donating to keep this center moving forward. We so appreciate each and every one of you, and are here to answer any questions that you may have about table hosting, or the gala in general. Thank you for your help and God bless you! We are here ready to pour into lives the love and grace we've been given ourselves by knowing Jesus Christ. Not enough people have a clue as to what we really do and who we really are. We never push, we listen and want to help! Won't you please help us increase our reach? We sent this video out to our church list at the beginning of this month as the Sanctity of Human Life Sunday is Jan. 21st. We'd greatly appreciate it if you would share it with your friends as well. Thanks so much and may God bless your week! We will be closed from Friday, December 22 and reopening on January 2 for the holiday break. Deb and all the staff want to wish you a very Merry Christmas and a healthy, happy New Year!
Because snowy roads are almost here, we have put our mobile clinic up for the winter. We are very grateful to have found a safe storage spot, and we'll be back out in the Spring! Thank you to all of our volunteers who helped us be available this year - we appreciate you all!
