Here's an expectant client who gave us permission to share her receiving a beautiful quilt, complete layette and a zippered purse full of personal care goodies. She was thrilled, to say the least!
Thank you to all our wonderful donors! Special Connection
Valentine's Day is for expressing affection; Fond thoughts are coming your way; We've always had a special connection, So Happy Valentine's Day! By Joanna Fuchs Kudos to Mary Beerworth, Maggie Kerrin, and Annisa Lamberton for organizing the protest against Prop. 5 at the Statehouse today! WCAX interviewed Annisa and those in attendance held signs requesting that the lawmakers respect life and vote NO.
We saw Vicki Strong and others who were happy for the show of support and God bless them all. And please pray for the cold hearts in the Legislature, that God turns them around! There were maybe 45-50 people in attendance and we pray that the legislators noticed. The Proposal did pass, 107-41. But take heart that while this horrendous Proposal 5 passed, 41 brave souls voted against it and FOR life. Please pray for them, and for our beloved state as well. I'm copying an email sent out by VT Right to Life this morning. Folks, the vote on Proposal 5 is TOMORROW. Please attend if you can, carpooling is best!
Big Turnout Needed for Tomorrow It is vitally important for pro-lifers to be seen and heard tomorrow. If you can possibly attend one or both of these events, we urge you to come. 9:00-10:00AM: We are gathering at the side entrance (left hand side as you face the State House) at 9:00AM to encourage those lawmakers who understand the hidden dangers of Proposal 5 and to support them as they enter the building and intend to courageously speak out during House Floor debate. There will be limited seating inside the State House up in the balcony for those who want to stay and listen to the proceedings. Link to the street parking situation here. 12:00-1:00PM: Vermont Right to Life supporters will be joining with other organizations who oppose Proposal 5 to provide an opportunity for those Vermonters to give the two minute testimony they would have given at the public hearing on Proposal 5, but were unable to sign up. Signs will be provided that indicate opposition to Proposal 5. The traditional shuttle ride to the Capital has been eliminated, however we have booked one trip with MyRide by GMT. A shuttle bus will be available at the Vermont Department of Labor (5 Green Mountain Drive, Montpelier). Park your car and look for the bus sign. Be prepared to get on the bus at 11:45AM. The return trip back to your vehicle will be at 1:15PM. Please carpool if you can.
