Where did August go? Or for that matter, July? We hope you were able to make use of the August prayer calendar and join us in asking for a meaningful and successful banquet. Here is the calendar for September, counting down with prayer until Thursday, September 26. Please especially pray for our table host volunteers, without whom this annual event couldn't take place. A big Thank You to all the prayer warriors who have been storming the gates on behalf of this ministry!

 In order to manage our banquet logistics and details, we use an online hosting site that has served us well over the years. Last year, they decided to improve things and rolled out a beta to test. This year we are using the test and there appears to be a bug in the system.
Certain people - and it appears to be random - are getting their registration confirmation emails stating that they are registered as table hosts when they didn't sign up to be one. Like Gomer Pyle used to say: "Surprise, surprise, surprise!" Rest assured, it is only a bug in the automated email and the company is working on it. Meanwhile, the main registration is working well and guests not intending to host aren't showing up here as hosts. Just wanted to let you all know in case "that" email shows up in your inbox! Thanks for attending the banquet and we look forward to seeing you all on Thursday, September 26!  We hope you can join us to hear what Mary Beerworth has to share about the changes in our laws and how they will affect Vermonters going forward. Enjoy some delicious dinner from Mimmos Restaurant! Gather some friends and fellowship with others while supporting our increasingly vital ministry.
 We're looking for table hosts for this year's banquet! If you are interested, please call or email us and let us know. Wednesday, August 14 we will host informational meetings at noon (with a light luncheon) or at 7pm (with desserts) here at the center. If you would like to host, but can't make either meeting, we can meet with you or mail you your information.
Each table at the banquet holds 8 guests, including yourself. If you can partially fill a table, we can plug in any empty spots with overflow guests. Please consider helping us out by being a table host? Thank you!! Choose Life... We are busily getting ready for the Annual Banquet, our most important fundraiser of the year! We are hoping that many of you are thinking about hosting a table. If you are considering it but have questions, call us (658-8046) and we'll be glad to help. It's easy, fun and is a huge blessing to us! We will be hosting a Table Host luncheon to hand out information Wed. Aug. 14 at noon here at our Burlington center on 56 Colchester Avenue, upstairs in our conference room. If you can't make noon, we will be having a dessert meeting at 7pm that same evening. Please let us know if you plan on attending either one. If you can't make that date, we can make up a packet for you and you can stop by or have it delivered at a time that works for you. Mary Hahn Beerworth, executive director of VT Right to Life will be our guest speaker. There have been some legislative changes made in our statehouse this year that we all need to be aware of. Mary is a fighter for the sanctity of life at all stages and it is critical that everyone - Christians especially - hear what she has to share. The invitation postcards went out Thursday and we're already getting requests for registrations from you! If you haven't received your invite yet, keep an eye out for the spaghetti card. Yes, Mimmos will be catering the event again due to popular demand!  |
