When you get an email saying: "Thanks for registering as a table host", but you didn't register as a table host....
In order to manage our banquet logistics and details, we use an online hosting site that has served us well over the years. Last year, they decided to improve things and rolled out a beta to test. This year we are using the test and there appears to be a bug in the system.
Certain people - and it appears to be random - are getting their registration confirmation emails stating that they are registered as table hosts when they didn't sign up to be one. Like Gomer Pyle used to say: "Surprise, surprise, surprise!"
Rest assured, it is only a bug in the automated email and the company is working on it. Meanwhile, the main registration is working well and guests not intending to host aren't showing up here as hosts.
Just wanted to let you all know in case "that" email shows up in your inbox!
