Given the year we've all experienced so far, we weren't surprised to be told today about a national group called "Advocates for Youth." Their tagline? "Young. Powerful. Taking over." Sounds kind of good so far, right?
WRONG. SO VERY WRONG.
Like the labeling of so many things in today's culture, the actual thing is the polar opposite of the title tacked onto it. Advocates for Youth is all about free sex and abortion and celebrating them. Not only that, they've taken it upon themselves to launch a campaign to have people leave fake reviews on pregnancy resource center Yelp Review pages. All in the name of their perceived victimhood. It's kind of like beating someone up because they aren't celebrating the same things you do. NO tolerance for difference of opinion, scientific fact or deeply-held spiritual beliefs. And yet somehow, we're the intolerant ones! This world has absolutely become upside-down.
Today, Heartbeat International sent out an email to their member pregnancy resource centers warning us all about a targeted attack of fake reviews to happen this Friday the 13th. Advocates for Youth are urging people to leave negative reviews about how "fake" we are - regardless of whether or not they had ever set foot in the center!
If you, or someone you know has ever benefitted from the services of this ministry, please consider leaving a positive review on Yelp. Yelp is a review site and doesn't require validation for people leaving reviews, so anyone can leave one. Our executive director, Deb, has to regularly monitor Yelp to see if fake reviews have been left, so she can answer them. Please pray for us and all pregnancy centers in this crazy time where the hate and intolerance is rising and coming from the very people calling for peace and unity!
